It's been a very long day, so maybe I'm just missing something - but the Bilstein 5100's that I received from Cognito aren't fitting into the lower control arm shock bracket. I ordered the stem eliminator kit and the top of the shock bolted right up. It's been a very long day, so maybe I'm just missing something - but the Bilstein 5100's that I received from Cognito aren't fitting into the lower control arm shock bracket. I ordered the stem eliminator kit and the top of the shock bolted right up. Everything when smooth except the shock boot looks very very crammed The part number for the new shock is 24-186643 which looks like it is the correct shock. Any guidance is appreciated. I called Bilstein a few weeks year ago and the gentlemen I spoke with strongly recommended the 4600's for a non-lifted truck even though the 5100 description says 0-2" lift. He said that the 4600's will perform better than the 5100's on the stock height truck.
